Here are two pics of the
just-completed 1968 BSA Spitfire Mark IV. I am still ironing out problems with
the jetting and instrumentation, but otherwise it seems well on its way to being
a good, reliable bike. Virtually all of the parts came from BritCycle, and I did
the rest: paint, polishing, wiring, machine work, etc. over the last 6 months or
so. Only one task was "farmed out": the chain guard was an acid-roasted mess and
required replating. I appreciate your able assistance on this challenging
project (it started as a reasonably complete but really lousy rolling basket
case) and look forward to future restorations.
Sincerely,
Doug Daniels
