These books are very similar to
the owners manuals that are in the glove compartment of your car, only more
interesting and comprehensive. They are like the "quick start" manuals that come
with computers.
They usually run about 40 pages and are packed with information and
illustrations: air filters, brakes, breaking-in, carburettors, chain adjustment,
controls, electrical equipment, lubrication, routine maintenance, spark plugs,
and much more. A typical owners manual measures 5-1/2" x 8-1/2".
