1970 BSA Lightning

Here are a couple pics of my latest restoration. It started out as a reasonably complete basketcase, and ended up needing several key parts for completion. Naturally, I turned to BritCycle for the rear fender, chainguard, and many other smaller parts. As I have said before, I couldn't have done it without you all. I also stepped up for a new pair of Amal concentrics. I had heard all sorts of negative nonsense about the new Amals, but found them to be excellent in every way except for one: they won't prime unless you extend the priming push button rod a few millimeters. The bike now starts easily and idles smoothly at 600-800 rpm !! Thanks again for all your help.
