This motorcycle is a hybrid, consisting of a 1949 ZB34 Alloy engine mounted into
a c. 1953 BSA swinging arm frame and fitted with a BSA STD gearbox.
Engine:
1949 ZB Alloy 500cc single, fitted with Gold Star Touring Cams #65-2448 Inlet &
#65-2450 Exhaust.
New valves, New unleaded seat springs, polished Rockers
New
+020 piston and rings, installed in rebored liner
Flywheel assembly Trued and
Balanced, Gold Star connecting rod and new Big End, fitted with all new
bearings, gaskets, springs, etc. Work on engine and gearbox completed by Ken
Rosevear
All cases and covers either polished or vapour blasted.
Frame:
Standard BSA Duplex / Swinging Arm Circa 1953 modified to Gold Star Specs.
Painted & prepared by “Mostly British” Approximately 1700 miles ago minor stone
chips retouched
Gearbox:
Gearbox overhauled, fitted with new bearings and
bushes
New kickstart mechanism and shaft • New Speedo Drive
gears • Exterior lightly polished
Complete Clutch as new:
New old stock
Triumph 4-spring clutch fitted with New plates (Friction & Driven)
New springs
• New Primary Chain and Gearbox Sprocket
Newly renovated BSA 8” single
sided front brake fitted into a new Akmont Alloy Flanged Rim complete with
Stainless Steel Spokes • Matching rear wheel.
New “Girling” rear
shocks • New chains • New levers & handlebars • N.O.S. seat • All correct Gold
Star fenders & stays • New tires & tubes
Fitted with lots of N.O.S. such as
seat, exhaust including silencer, control levers, headlight, mudguards, cables,
rubber parts. Rebuilt magdyno • Fitted with 1-3/16 Amal Monobloc.
