Chrome Guard
Don't install a new set of
exhaust pipes without it!
Chrome Guard™ (CG-1) is a thermal barrier pipe coating product intended
to deter heat discoloration on chrome exhaust pipes. It is sold in powder form
and must be mixed with water before being applied. It is water-soluble and
non-toxic. We do not recommend use of Chrome Guard™ in pipes with fiberglass
baffles. Due to varying engine conditions such as improper jetting, retarded
timing, vacuum leaks, improper spark plug heat range, detonation from low-octane
fuel, modified camshaft timing, etc., we cannot guarantee that chrome
discoloration will be completely eliminated. As such,
no warranty against elimination of heat discoloration is expressed or implied.
One jar contains enough material to treat one set of pipes.
